Over the past few years, foreigner upcharges throughout Tokyo have increased and become more common.
On the one hand, this means that foreign nationals have access to services that they didn't have to before,
on the other hand, this means that certain services that were already available, now started upcharging.
This project aims to bring transparency to which shops upcharge how much and under which circumstances,
so that you can make an informed decision about the establishment's value and gauge whether you want to
attempt arguing yourself out of it or not. All information will be crowd-sourced and collected from
various discussion platforms.
